The creators of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption now invite us to become a police officer in 1940s Los Angeles. Detective Cole Phelps will have to investigate a series of cases, finding clues, interrogating witnesses and suspects, and occasionally pursuing or killing the criminal. The PS3 game recreates the city in that post-war era, rife with horrific crimes, drug abuse, and corruption. The characters' facial animation uses the innovative MotionScan technology, giving them a more realistic appearance.
